Mentoring Program (personalized advocacy services, education & support)
Are you new to living with hyperacusis? Or the parent of a kid with hyperacusis trying to learn more information about the latest medical research, quiet living strategies, services, resources that can help you or your kid?
Maybe you want another person who understands what it’s like to have your condition and can relate and empathize? Our mentoring program connects those who are new to living with Hyperacusis (have had it for less than three years) or in a position where they are in bad circumstances (loud living environment, not believed by their clinicians, lack of adequate accommodations and or help from friends and family, etc.) Or are trying to navigate parenting a kid that has hyperacusis, with a person who’s been living with pain hyperacusis for 3+ years, knows about current research, and can help you to minimize noise, and advocate with others in your life.
If you are interested in participating in our program as either someone who has lived with Hyperacusis for a long time and would like to help others, or you need guidance and support for your family, please email: hyperacusis.awareness@gmail.com
